Ruth Halperin, PhD
I’m a pain therapist and a movement coach. I treat people suffering from chronic pain, limited by persistent symptoms, frustrated and uncertain about their body, and increasingly fearful of movement.
I help people heal and recover from chronic pain, restore a sense of safety in their body, and move without fear again.
My work integrates pain science, learning science, and movement-based rehabilitation. I focus on how pain is learned and maintained through the brain’s predictive and protective systems, and how these patterns can shift when the nervous system begins to experience safety again.
In practice, I integrate Pain Reprocessing Therapy, somatic practices, and progressive movement rehabilitation. The process is experiential and precise, based on guided re-engagement with the body in ways that gradually reduce fear and restore capacity.
My background includes a PhD in Learning and Technology, advanced training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (Mastery level), certification through Freedom From Chronic Pain, and training in EAET and IFS-informed approaches, alongside extensive experience as a Movement Coach in Pilates, Fitness Training, and anti-gravity movement systems.
I bring my lived experience of recovering from chronic back pain that deeply informs my understanding of what it takes to heal, rebuild trust in the body and return to fearless movement.
I offer personalized recovery programmes in English and Hebrew online, and in-person in my fitness studio in Caesarea, Israel
