Kia Ora. I am a therapist who offers compassionate, confidential, and evidence based counselling. I specialise in working with a wide variety of issues taking a particular interest in trauma, chronic pain, OCD, and anxiety. I come with a background working in mental health services from inpatient, community and now primary mental health. This has given me broad understanding of New Zealand’s health system and helping my clients with a wide range of issues. I primarily use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT).
EMDR is recommended by the world health organisation to treat trauma and PTSD. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps people with a range of issues, develop psychological flexibility and live a fulfilling life. Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) helps people manage and break the cycle of chronic pain.
My practice is a small virtual clinic on Wednesdays. I am always interested to hear peoples stories, how they got to where they are and work out the best way forward. Outside of work I am a dad, geek, into all things sci-fi and horror, and love cycling, skiing and swimming. Please get in touch and take the first step toward healing.
